Installing Autodesk Mapguide ActiveX control

Manual install.

Autodesk MapGuide Viewer can be downloaded from here. Save the file on you local machine and install. Logout from SigMAP and log back in.

.NET 2.0 can be downloaded here. Save the file on you local machine and unzip.
Run installdotNET.cmd, it will start installing the .NET runtime environment. While this is being installed in the background you'll a DOS window, don't close it. Once the .NET is installed, in the DOS window you'll see the following question

	The operation you are performing will alter security policy.
	Are you sure you want to perform this operation? (yes/no)
type Y and press enter. This security alteration is totaly safe as it only allowes "Trusted sites" to use you computer, and you get to controle which sites are trusted.
Open Internet Explorer, under tools/interenet options/security/trusted sites/sites... add this site http://sigmap.sigmaex.com. Click OK and now you are ready to print.

Using the Main Toolbar

Info Tool (Selecting Features):
To retrieve information about a feature or to select a feature, click either tool and then select features in the map.

Zooming In:
Use the zoom in tool to display less of the map in more detail. Click on the tool and then, draw a rectangle on the map surrounding the area you'd like to see in more detail, or simply click once on the map.

Zooming Out:
Use the zoom out tool to display more of the map in less detail. Click on the tool and then, click on the point in the map that you'd like to appear in the centre of the "zoomed out" map.

Zoom Previous:
Click on this tool and it will take to the previous map extents.

Zoom GOTO (Gographic Locator):
Use this tool to zoom onto a specific point. You can use DLS, NTS or Lat/Long.

Panning the Map:
To recenter the map around a certain point, click on tool and select a place on the map, then drag.

Zoom Full Extent:
Click the tool to zoom the map to the original view.

Measure:
Click the ruler tool to measure distances on the map.

Stop Map Loading:

Printing Maps:
Print out any map view; simply click the print button.
